Black and White | Polka Dots and Stripes | 30th Birthday Party at The B Loft

On my first phone call with the Birthday Girl, we hit it off immediately !  In our planning meetings she had a clear vision of what she wanted (which always helps) and our style is definitely similar. I was so happy when she chose to hold her Birthday Bash at a Unique Atlanta Venue called the The B Loft (you can see why in the pictures below)  Esther was awesome to work with and this was definitely one of my favorite events to plan so far. Check out the pictures below…

We decided to use Black and White Striped Linens for the highboys which outlined the dancefloor

We incorporated a mixture of High and Low Centerpieces for the guest tables.

The low centerpieces were submerged orchids, topped with floating candles

For the high centerpieces we used white pomanders

We used a geometric gobo light for the main wall

The B-Loft supplied the Lounge Furniture and Ghost Chairs for additional seating

Everyone loved The Dessert Bar ! Shamsi Bakery  provided Cake Pops, Cupcakes, Banana Shooters and so much more

One of the best features of The B Loft is the chandelier ! It looked perfect above the Dessert Buffet

Over-sized Polka Dot Balloons Lined the Walkway to the Entrance of the Party

Esther and her friends definitely partied that night and the  good news is I’ll be coordinating her wedding so STAY TUNED !

P.S. - are we connected on Facebook ? If not click here to see more Real Party photos

Face Your Guests During Your Wedding Ceremony

Face Guests Wedding Ceremony

If you’re looking for a creative ceremony set-up, why not face your guests during your wedding ceremony ! Although I’m sure the back of your dress will be fabulous… I think your guests would rather see your face instead of looking at your butt or side for 20 minutes!

I coordinated Alicia and Shaun’s wedding last year and they did just that. Their wedding was in a church so the minister stood at the bottom of the altar stairs looking up at the couple and they stood facing their guests and it worked out great !

Here’s more reasons why an outward facing ceremony works:

1. Your photographer and videographer will love it ! Sometimes it’s hard for them to get a good shot during the ceremony but you’ll have great pictures with this set up

2. Your guests will feel more included in your ceremony and will actually be able to hear your vows because your voices will be projecting towards them

3. It’s a great way to give your guests something they haven’t seen before. I guarantee they’ll give you compliments all night

Facing your guests is a non-traditional ceremony set up but who cares ! It’s your wedding and you make the rules !

Navy Blue & Fuchsia Anniversary Party

A friend asked me to come up with some ideas for her parent’s 30th Wedding Anniversary Party. Her parents were indifferent on the theme and color story of the party but she wanted something that both of her parents would like … so I suggested Fuchsia and Navy Blue and her parents loved it !

Fuchsia and Navy Blue is definitely a good blend of masculine and feminine and depending on how you stage it, this color combo would also work for a baby shower for twins or even children’s party.

Her parent’s Anniversary Party will take place over Labor Day Weekend so I’ll let you know how it turns out.

Need ideas for your next event ? Call me and I’ll create an inspiration board just for you !

Modern & Unique Invitation Websites

Hey yall. Today I wanted to share some of my favorite invitation websites. These invitations are Fun, Modern, Bright, and definitely Non-Traditional … the {JEE Style} Don’t get me wrong, my first recommendation for my clients is to work with an invitation designer to create custom and personalized invitations. BUT, if you don’t have the budget for a designer these invitations are a great option.  Check them out and let me know what you think ?    |   |
